Terms & Conditions

Moor to Sea Services Terms and Conditions

1. Services Covered

We repair the following domestic appliances:
– Washing machines
– Tumble dryers
– Refrigeration appliances (fridges, freezers, fridge-freezers)
– Dishwashers
– Cooking appliances (ovens, hobs, cookers, ranges, hoods)
Repairs are carried out by qualified technicians and, where possible, using manufacturer-
approved parts.

2. Call-Out and Diagnostic Charges

A standard call-out and diagnostic fee is payable in advance for each repair.
This fee is due regardless of whether the appliance is repaired, deemed beyond economical repair, or if the customer declines the quote.
If the repair can be completed during the initial visit without the need for parts, no further charge will be made.

3. Estimates and Authorisation

If parts are required, a quote will be provided before proceeding.
No chargeable work will be undertaken without your consent.
All estimates are valid for 14 days from the date of issue.

4. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or appointment changes.
Missed appointments or short-notice cancellations may incur a fee up to the 50% of the value of the call-out charge.

5. Warranty and Guarantees

Parts fitted by us are covered by a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty, unless otherwise stated.
Labour is guaranteed for 30 days from the date of repair.
The warranty does not cover faults caused by misuse, accidental damage, or issues unrelated to the original repair.

6. Appliances Deemed Beyond Repair

If an appliance is found to be beyond economical repair, we will inform you during the diagnostic.
In this case, only the call-out and diagnostic fee is payable.
No refund is issued for diagnostic work completed.

7. Access and Environment

You must ensure safe and unhindered access to the appliance on the day of the visit.
Technicians may refuse service if the working environment is unsafe, unclean, or presents a health risk.
We are not responsible for moving integrated or built-in appliances unless previously agreed.

8. Liability

We are not liable for pre-existing faults, unrelated failures, or accidental damage not caused by our technician.
We take care to avoid damage to property but are not liable for cosmetic damage to flooring, cabinetry, or fixtures during necessary appliance access unless caused by negligence.

9. Payment Terms

Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted methods: debit/credit card, bank transfer or cheque
Invoices unpaid after 7 days may incur interest or collection charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

10. Data Protection

We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
Your information will only be used to manage your service and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
